Founded in 1687, the town of Rosario is a first class municipality in the province of Batangas. It is politically subdivided into 48 barangays and is currently governed by municipal mayor Manuel B. Alvarez.
Strengthen up your faith
The Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish is located in the town proper of Rosario. It is part of Vicariate IV: The Vicariate of Saint Joseph of the Archdiocese of Lipa. This is also where the town got its name, Sto. Rosario and later on known as Rosario.
Ready for a hike?
This grotto sits at the top of the Tombol Hill. A modest climber could reach the top at around 30 minutes or up to 45 minutes for tenderfoots. The steepness of this grotto indubitably adds more excitement and adventure and once you reached the top, a breathtaking view of the entire town and its nearby places surprises you.

Since Batangas has various and unique local foods and products, Rosario has to offer you something delightful. Included in the list is the appetizing Batangas Lomi which is present in the streets of this town. Don’t also miss to try their “pinaltok” or known as pinindot in the neighbour towns. Who cannot also forget to drop by into the stalls in the streets just to buy their very own delicious sinukmani and kalamay.
